Process Flow Of Copper Bar Soft Connection
Apr 02, 2025
The common process for battery soft connection copper bars is molecular diffusion welding. The following is the specific processing flow:
.Standard material selection: Choose T2 copper foil with appropriate specifications.
.Mold making: Make corresponding molds according to customer needs.
.Cutting: Cut the copper foil into the appropriate size according to the requirements.
.Cleaning and Stacking: Clean the surface of the copper foil and stack it. Before welding, a fixture will be used to control the length and width deviation between multiple layers of copper foil.
.Acid washing: Removing impurities and oxide layers from the surface of copper foil.
.Surface treatment: The surface of copper bars can be treated with tin plating, silver plating, or nickel plating according to requirements.
.Thermal insulation welding: Molecular diffusion welding is used, which is formed by heating and pressing with high current. The heating process of the equipment during welding is the insulation process, with a temperature generally between 500-600 degrees Celsius, which will be adjusted appropriately according to the size and thickness of the copper bar soft connection.
.Sawing and deburring: A small amount of burrs generated during manual processing of stamped holes.
.Drilling: Drill holes in overlapping surfaces and other areas according to customer requirements.
.Surface polishing: Make the surface of the copper bar smooth and tidy.
.Tin plating on conductive surface: increases contact area and improves conductivity efficiency.
.Sleeve shaping: The soft connection part can be covered with insulation sleeves as a whole or partially. The shaping is completed using fixtures and jigs, mainly bending fixtures. If there are large copper bar soft connections, bending equipment is required to handle them.
.Packaging and storage: Packaging finished products and storing them in the warehouse.
