multiple types of battery connectors

Nov 11, 2024

Metal connector:

Nickel connector: commonly used in nickel hydrogen (NiMH) and nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries, with good conductivity and weldability.

Copper connector: better conductivity, suitable for high current applications, but higher cost and easy oxidation.

Aluminum connector: Lightweight and cost-effective, suitable for certain lithium battery packs, but not as conductive as copper.

Flexible connector:

Flexible Circuit Board (FPC): Used for applications that require bending or folding, suitable for designs with limited space.

Soft connector tape: usually made of conductive material, with a certain degree of flexibility, suitable for mobile devices.

Welding connection piece:

Laser welding connection piece: Connected through laser welding technology, suitable for high-precision and high-strength connection requirements.

Ultrasonic welding connection piece: connection is achieved through ultrasonic technology, suitable for thin sheet materials.

Insulation connector:

Insulation coating connection piece: Coating insulation material on metal connection pieces to prevent short circuits, suitable for applications involving multiple battery series connections.

Customized connector:

Customize the shape and size of connectors according to the design requirements of specific battery packs to meet specific electrical and mechanical performance requirements.

When selecting a suitable battery link, factors such as current carrying capacity, connection method, material properties, and application environment need to be considered.
