The manufacturing process of battery nickel sheets

Mar 08, 2025

1. Material preparation

Raw material selection: Select nickel strips or plates with high purity, few impurities, and high uniformity as raw materials, and conduct quality inspection to ensure that they meet the requirements.

Stamping forming

Mold design: Produce corresponding stamping molds based on battery design requirements.

Stamping operation: Use a stamping machine to press nickel strip or nickel foil into the desired shape and size.

Surface Treatment

Cleaning: Remove oil stains and impurities from the surface of the nickel sheet after stamping.

Electroplating: Electroplating other metals (such as gold, silver, etc.) on the surface of nickel sheets as needed to enhance their conductivity and corrosion resistance.

4. Heat treatment

Annealing: Annealing the processed nickel flakes to enhance their toughness and plasticity.

Cooling: The annealing temperature and time should be accurately controlled and appropriate cooling treatment should be carried out.

5. Cutting and shaping

Cut the large nickel strip into individual nickel pieces according to customer requirements, shape them, and ensure that their size and shape meet the requirements.

6. Quality inspection

Inspect the size and appearance of the nickel sheet, and conduct performance tests on the nickel sheet.

7. Packaging and Storage

Pack the nickel sheets that have passed the inspection and store them in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid moisture and corrosion.
