Requirements for battery box capacity in different scenarios

Different scenarios have different requirements for battery box capacity, and the following are specific requirements for common scenarios:
1. Home photovoltaic energy storage
Self use: If the daily household electricity consumption is 20kWh, the battery capacity needs to cover nighttime or cloudy electricity consumption. When designing, the instability of photovoltaic power generation should be considered, and a battery system of 10-20kWh is usually selected.
Peak valley arbitrage: In time of use electricity pricing regions, such as peak hours, batteries need to store electricity from off peak electricity pricing periods for peak use. For example, when the peak electricity consumption is 20kWh/day, the battery capacity needs to be designed to be 10-15 kWh to cover more than 50% of the peak demand.
2. Industrial and commercial energy storage
Small shops: 50-200kWh system, used for peak valley price arbitrage or short-term backup power.
Communication base station/data center: It is necessary to ensure continuous power supply, usually designed with a backup capacity of 4-8 hours. For example, a 100kW load requires 400-800kWh of battery.
3. Portable energy storage
● The capacity is concentrated in products with a capacity of 2500-3500mAh. Overall, portable energy storage cells are still mainly cylindrical 18650 cells, while cylindrical 21700 and larger cylinders have been used in small batches in some situations with more stringent electrical requirements. The increase in the charge capacity of portable energy storage units requires the upgrading of lithium batteries towards larger capacities, with cylindrical battery cells gradually increasing their capacity to over 3Ah.
4. Communication energy storage
