Metal laser cutting processing technology
1, Principle
Using a high-energy laser beam to irradiate metal, causing it to instantly melt or vaporize, while using high-speed airflow to blow away the molten material, thus achieving precise cutting.
2, Core equipment
Laser: Fiber laser is currently the absolute mainstream, with high efficiency, fast speed, and suitable for cutting metals.
Cutting head: a core executing component that integrates a focusing lens and nozzle.
Motion system: Controlled by a numerical control system, it drives the cutting head to move according to the drawing trajectory.
3, Main processes
Nitrogen cutting: Blow away molten metal with nitrogen gas, without oxidation, and the cut surface is silver white and smooth. Mainly used for stainless steel and aluminum alloys.
Oxygen cutting: using oxygen to undergo combustion reaction with metal, with fast speed and low cost, but with a black oxide layer on the cut surface. Mainly used for carbon steel.
4, Key parameters
Laser power: determines how thick and fast it can cut.
Cutting speed: matched with power, affecting cutting quality and efficiency.
Focus position: affects the quality and perpendicularity of the incision.
Gas type and pressure: determine the cutting mechanism and effect.
5, Advantages and limitations
Advantage:
High flexibility: No need for molds, easy to switch graphics.
High precision: small tolerance, smooth cut.
High efficiency: high degree of automation and fast speed.
6, Application industry
Widely used in sheet metal processing, chassis and cabinets, automobile manufacturing, elevators, home appliances, advertising signs, precision parts and many other fields.
