Precautions For The Use And Maintenance Of Battery Boxes
May 14, 2025
(1) Precautions for use
● Correct installation: Strictly follow the installation instructions of the battery box to ensure that the installation position of the battery box is well ventilated, dry, and stable, and to avoid battery damage caused by vibration, collision, etc. For example, when installing a battery box on an electric vehicle, it needs to be firmly fixed to prevent shaking during driving.
● Standardized connection: When connecting the circuit of the battery box, it is necessary to ensure that the positive and negative poles are connected correctly and firmly to avoid the danger of electric sparks caused by looseness. At the same time, appropriate specifications of connecting wires should be used to prevent the circuit from heating up or even catching fire due to excessive current.
● Charging requirements: A charger that matches the specifications of the battery box must be used for charging to avoid overcharging or undercharging. During the charging process, pay attention to the working status of the charger and battery box, and stop charging immediately if there are any abnormalities.
● Discharge restriction: Avoid excessive discharge. When the battery level approaches the lower limit, it should be charged in a timely manner. Excessive discharge can affect the performance and lifespan of batteries.
● Environmental temperature: Try to use the battery box at a suitable ambient temperature. Generally speaking, the optimal operating temperature for lead-acid batteries is between 20 ℃ and 30 ℃, while the operating temperature range for lithium batteries is relatively wide. However, extreme high or low temperature environments should also be avoided.
(2) Maintenance precautions
● Regular inspection: Regularly inspect the appearance of the battery box for damage, deformation, and other conditions, check whether the connection lines are firm, and whether there are any looseness, oxidation, or other phenomena.
● Cleaning and maintenance: Keep the surface of the battery box clean and avoid the accumulation of dust, debris, etc. For lead-acid batteries, it is also necessary to regularly check the electrolyte level and specific gravity, and add distilled water if necessary.
● Storage requirements: If the battery box needs to be stored for a long time, it should be fully charged first, and then recharged at regular intervals to prevent the battery from self discharging and causing low power. The storage environment should be dry, ventilated, and avoid direct sunlight and humidity.
