Classified by Material
- Copper busbar: It has good conductivity and thermal conductivity, which can effectively reduce resistance and energy loss. It is commonly used in Lifepo4 battery busbars. Copper bars need to be nickel plated as a whole on the surface to improve their corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.
- Aluminum busbar: relatively low cost, lightweight, suitable for battery packs that are cost sensitive and have certain weight requirements. In some Lifepo4 battery packs, aluminum bars are often used as busbars between battery cells.
classification by function
- Positive and negative output stage busbar: used to connect the positive and negative output terminals of the battery pack and output the battery pack's electrical energy to the external circuit. The material and size of the positive and negative output stage busbars need to be selected according to the output current and voltage requirements of the battery pack.
- Battery busbar: a busbar that connects various batteries, its function is to collect and distribute the electrical energy of the batteries, ensuring the uniform distribution of current within the battery pack. Common connection methods include welding, crimping, etc.
Classified by structure
- Blade battery busbar: It is designed to match the structure of the blade battery and usually adopts a special shape and size to adapt to the arrangement of the blade battery, achieving good electrical connection and heat dissipation effect.
- Kirin battery busbar: In order to adapt to the high energy density and high safety design of Kirin batteries, the busbar has been optimized in structure, adopting more advanced connection technology and materials to improve the overall performance and reliability of the battery pack.
